Glaucous Skies

Through cheap smoke flows
tantalizing whispers
   and cold reflections
cast from lonely nights
forgotten with 
ignorance.
Let their judgments 
ravish my soul
   and stimulate its 
eternal deficiency for love.
Like the nicotine coasting my lungs,
   I welcome its haunting hands
as they tighten around my neck,
   a soft caress with
     ill intentions.
All at once I realize
I haven't felt this alive
since I smothered 
   my last cigarette.
